Joe Wilson is an alto sax soloist known for his unique, smooth stylings. This winner of the 2005 Urban Independent Music Award for Best Jazz Artist of the Year loves to not only share his original compositions but build relationships with local churches and businesses. His primary message is one that encourages others to seek, use and hone their gifts, whatever they may be.
In 2000, Joe started his own non-profit organization to expand into these broader passions and help communities become more united, and also to spark a love for music within young people.

After Joe Wilson's home was destroyed in the tornado that hit Western Mass in June 2011, he was out in California for a while, but now he's back in Western Mass to spread some joy to this storm-smacked area through his own music and Joe Wilson's Community in Concert, a program that's all about kids, community and music. The venture will show how bringing these things together can ignite hope, inspire, and even change the world.
